Rainboots

The girls hated their snowboots. I never saw them walk around in their snowboots, but apparently they did wear them a couple times during their brief stint in the daycare here.

So, now it is spring and therefore it is rainboot time. I got really cute rainboots, hoping that might help (them or me, I am not sure). I think little kids splashing in puddles on a wet day is just so cute and I want our babies to splash in puddles on wet days! Without soaking their feet and getting pneumonia!

I tried putting them on the girls when I bought them, but they hated that. So instead, I have been slowly trying to wean the girls on the new rainboots, hoping that by the time they can splash in the puddles, the girls will love them. First, the girls played with them, carried them around, and chewed on them.

Today, I put one boot on each baby, hoping that would work.

After a few moments of unhappiness, Sunniva ended up smiling as she stomp-padded around the house. "Mama, this is pretty cool!"

Anna-Sofia hated it the whole time. "Mama, save me!"
Ace wants to remind us that she never, ever likes new things the first time (speaking in absolutes, as she practices for adolescence). "Don't you remember, Mama? New things make me sad!"
